This year members of our team participated in the Up All Night Walk, a 42 KM challenge to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) WA. RMHC WA supports thousands of families with sick children, providing essential programs that impact their health and wellbeing.
Our team proudly raised $9,418, ranking 9th among top corporate donors. Four team members completed the walk, showcasing their dedication and effort.
15 members of our team participated in the Up All Night Walk, a 42 KM challenge to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) WA. RMHC WA supports thousands of families with sick children, providing essential programs that impact their health and wellbeing.
Our team proudly raised $11,789, ranking 9th among top corporate donors. Three team members completed the walk, showcasing their dedication and effort.
MKT Taxation Advisors Team supported and attended The Pirate Ship Foundation’s BrainChild Ball 2024 to the theme of Madagascar – Minoa “Believe”.
The BrainChild Ball, founded by the amazing Victoria Fitzgerald, is one of the fundraising events for The Pirate Ship Foundation and raises funds to support vital research into childhood brain cancer. Funds are invested directly into childhood brain cancer research programs, including the Brain Tumour Research Program at the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth.

Team had the great pleasure in donating, sorting and then packing special Christmas hampers for the families that turn to No Limits Perth for support this Christmas. We also collected goods generously donated by some of our PAN member firms, who made sure we arrived with plenty of stock for the hampers.
The volunteers at No Limits Perth do an amazing job in supporting the local community by supplying household goods, fresh and non-perishable food, linen and furniture for families in crisis on a no questions, no judgement basis and MKT are proud to support such a worthwhile cause.
We contributed funds to support the renovation of the Bibbulmun Track in Kalamunda, raising awareness and protecting Australia’s wildlife and environment. Notably, 10% of the funds helped save WA’s Black Cockatoos.
From 12 August 2024 to 6 September 2024, we participated in the Bibbulmun Track Virtual Hike Challenge, collectively aiming to reach 1,000 km, the entire distance of the Bibbulmun Track.
We also physically walked the track from Kalamunda along Spring Road for roughly 6 km to boost our steps on the last day of the challenge, 6 September 2024.
Some of our accountants participated as cyclists in the 2024 Motivate Ultra Charity Spin Roadshow at London House, raising funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, Steve Waugh Foundation, and Give a Feed. Special thanks to all participants for this year!
A donation of $500 was made for participation in the event!

At MKT, we uphold our tradition of celebrating the end of the year with a meaningful twist on Secret Santa. Instead of exchanging gifts among ourselves, we chose to spread joy to those in need by donating to Orana House, a refuge for families affected by domestic abuse. Our team thoughtfully selected gifts for children of all ages and their parents, ensuring a brighter Christmas for these families.

Thanks to everyone’s incredible efforts, MKT raised $12,593 and took 4,164,975 steps for Cerebral Palsy research and support. Special congratulations to the Squash Raptors for leading in steps with 1,107,138 steps and to the Hockey Bosses for leading in donations with $5,619.
Overall, the event saw $7,368,011 raised and 20,199,738,691 steps taken by 104,000 participants.
Our team at MKT Taxation Advisors sponsored and attended the BrainChild Ball, an extraordinary event by the Pirate Ship Foundation, featuring a captivating New York, New York theme.
MKT is a regular supporter of the Annual BrainChild Ball, continually inspired by the commitment to making a positive impact. The Ball emphasizes the importance of giving back and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Our team had the privilege of participating in a busy bee at the Perth Homeless Support Group. It was incredibly rewarding to spend time sorting through donations.
The Perth Homeless Support Group provides essential resources and assistance to those in need, and we are proud to contribute to their mission.
It was heart-warming to see our staff come together for such a great cause, reminding us of the importance of community and giving back.
2023 Charity Spin Roadshow
Some of our accountants participated as cyclists in the 2023 Motivate Ultra Charity Spin Roadshow at London House, raising funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, Steve Waugh Foundation, and Give a Feed.
The cyclist crew embraced an “Orange is the New Black” theme, donning orange and black prisoner outfits and riding to an upbeat workout/escape playlist featuring songs like “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. To support our team, a cheer squad with matching orange pompoms was on hand.
We proudly participated in a magical and joy-filled “Xmas in July” lunch extravaganza, all for a wonderful cause! As part of our ongoing commitment to our communities, we rallied together as a team to raise funds for the incredible organisation, Beyond Blue. And boy, oh boy, did we make Santa proud!
We are delighted to announce that, through our combined efforts, we managed to raise an impressive $2,858.10 to support Beyond Blue’s impactful work!
Kmart Wishing Tree
In 2023 we decided to be Santas for fellow Australians that are unable to enjoy their Christmas in the fullest.
The presents you see have been donated to the Kmart Wishing Tree in the Perth CBD.
Hopefully we were able to make it a better Christmas for our community!
Thank you for everyone who took part in the giving and were apart of this momentous occasion.
We had the pleasure of visiting the RSPCA Centre in Malaga, learning about the amazing work of the staff and volunteers and meeting some furry residents. We rolled up our sleeves to help with a few odd jobs around the Centre. It was a rewarding day, and we highly recommend getting involved with Corporate Volunteering Days.
Some of the team from MKT visited Ronald McDonald House Perth to take part in one of their volunteering programmes – Home for Dinner.
The team worked with Darryl, one of the chefs, to cook and prepare meals for the families that are staying in the house.
After cooking, the team were able to sit down with the families and enjoy dinner whilst getting to know them.
This was an incredibly rewarding experience and one that we recommend for other groups to take part in.
The team at MKT and Mining Corporate participated in OzHarvest’s Cooking for a Cause recently, cooking up quite a feast in the Taste Budds Cooking Studio. OzHarvest is the first perishable food rescue organisation in Australia that collects quality excess food and delivers it free of charge to 800 charities across Australia.
With the help of the volunteers and trained chefs, no food collected was wasted and the meals were delivered to 55 Central Inc and St Bartholomew’s providing nourishment to the people who need it most.
The staff at MKT and Mining Corporate decided to forgo their Secret Santa gift this year in order to buy gifts for the Hawaiian Gold Giving Box. The items donated will go to families in need this Christmas thanks to the efforts by Foodbank and Anglicare WA.
A charity MKT supported in both a financial and non-financial capacity was The Adventurers, an organisation that aimed to find a cure for childhood brain cancer.
In September 2017, MKT Director Ben Reynolds joined ‘Team Japan’ in a quest to raise $127,600 for X-RAD Radiation Therapy Research for Brain Tumours.
The team took on the challenge of riding over 324 km, with over 6070 m of elevation and scaling Mt Fuji!
Ben alone managed to raise $22,639 – an amazing achievement with help from some very generous donations.
